ELEPHANT RIDING IS AVAILABLE ON LANGKAWI
Langkawi Elephant Adventures offers elephant riding activities at the Oriental Village, Langkawi. Conveniently located next to Langkawi Cable Car, guests may maximize their trips to the Burau Bay (north-western) corner of the island and include elephant riding into their itineraries.
Since 2006, guests from more than 80 countries have taken an adventure with Lasah, the resident elephant of the Oriental Village. Guest may opt between several adventures that takes elephant adventurers into the foothills of Mt. Machincang–the centerpiece of Langakwi Geopark. It is arguably the only elephant riding program into a UNESCO Global Geopark in the world!
Lasah is a magnificent pachyderm, who also sports a pair of tusks, that waits on guets patiently there. Not only is he popular amongst tourists at the Oriental Village, Lasah has also featured in a number of films, travel shows and commercials, including Anna & the King.
